![]() ![]() But the majority of the season's content is generic action thriller elements throughout the season, we witness endless gunfights and conspiracy cliches until we've reached our capacity for mysterious secret societies and invincible hitmen and hitwomen, although the plot occasionally alleviates the redundancy when Samaritan makes surgical moves to take over the world. ![]() What this season features is a battle between two AIs: Samaritan and The Machine, with the former leading the manipulative Decima company and the latter leading protagonist Harold Finch (Michael Emerson, Ben Linus from Lost) and his colleagues. How do I know this? Because "Season 4" of POI is the most ambitious of the four seasons so far, and yet it doesn't add up to more than a perfunctory entertainment. There are better ways to spend your time than to continue on with a series that's possibly past the point where it can do everything possible with its potential. If you are reading this, let me begin by saying there are probably better shows out there at this moment than Person of Interest.
